Thundershirt

 

The Thundershirt is a pressure wrap that applies gentle, constant pressure on a dog's torso which has an amazing calming effect for most dogs. This "pressure" theory has been used successfully for many years to reduce anxiety for both animals and humans. The Thundershirt can be used for fear of thunder, separation anxiety, car or travel anxiety, and any general fearfulness. The Thundershirt is made out of a very soft, lightweight breathable fabric that snuggly fits your dog's body. When properly sized  and fitted your pooch should feel very comfortable and be able to move and run as always.

 

Many dogs will exhibit calming results the first time the Thundershirt is put on. However, for some dogs, it may take two to three usages to see results. Here at our Doggie Bag shops we have seen several dogs that the Thundershirt immediately had calming effects. Not all dogs react so dramatically, but most customers are very satisfied to see that their dog's anxiety or reacitivity is substantially reduced.

 

Size selection:  Chest size is the best measurement for selecting a size. Simply measure around your dog's chest just behind the front legs at its largest point.
